Seña y Verbo: Teatro de Sordos (deaf theater) is an artistic and educational partnership, unique in Latin America, dedicated in promoting the language and culture of the deaf, through original plays of high quality, as well as several courses, consulting and dissemination workshops.
The professional theatre company, composed of deaf and hearing actors, presents throughout the year works for adults and for children, in which the language of Mexican sign (LSM) merges into scene with the spoken Spanish to create shows that are equally appealing and enjoyable to those who listen and those who don’t.
Seña y Verbo has produced 17 original works, with more than 500 performances in the city of Mexico,15 international tours and frequently tours throughout Mexico.
